A pril 26 — An loss-prevention specialist at the Gig Harbor Kohl’s store spotted a woman stealing a pair of $90 high-heel shoes. The guard chased the woman to a getaway vehicle as a male suspect was frantically trying to start the car. The pair got away, but not before the license plate number was jotted down. The car came back registered to a known career thief. The Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office forwarded the report for a possible arrest warrant for third-degree theft.
