Council member Ken Malich listens to the people

April 16, 2014

We’d like to thank Council Member Ken Malich for submitting his opinion article, dated April 2, “Deputy city administrator wasn’t on list of Gig Harbor visioning priorities” in which he explained why he voted against the rest of the city council.

Thank you, Mr. Malich, for putting into words the feelings that so many citizens of Gig Harbor have experienced in the past year. Like many others, we have attended meetings, spoke to the city council, signed petitions, and have written to the mayor and council members, only to realize that our words fell on deaf ears.

They’d already made up their minds to represent big business or some special interest group. Thank you, Mr. Malich, for listening to the people who elected you!
