GH library to host spring poetry series

The Gig Harbor/Peninsula branch of the Pierce County Library System will host two Northwest poets this spring.

Robert McNamara will read at 7 p.m. April 17. McNamara teaches at the University of Washington, where he also serves as University Director of the Puget Sound Writing Project.

Holly Hughes, who teaches at Edmonds Community College, will read at 7 p.m. May 8. Hughes directs the Convergence Writers Series at Edmonds and received the Excellence in Education Award in 2012.

The free events are sponsored by Friends of the Gig Harbor Library.
