PenMet Family Theater announces auditions for summer show

Lifestyles The Peninsula Metropolitan Parks District will hold auditions for a summer production.

The show will be directed by Kathleen McGilliard. Two large cast shows are under consideration to be staged at PenMet Parks’ outdoor amphitheater at Sehmel Homestead Park. “Aladdin” and “Aesop’s Musical Foibles” offer roles for men, women, young adults and children.

Auditions will be held by appointment on April 25, 26 and 27. Call 253-358-3595 to schedule. Forms and procedures are available at www.penmetparks.org.

Those who plan to audition should provide a photograph for identification purposes and to prepare a song a capella or with instrument accompaniment.

Rehearsals will begin in May for the show, which will have nine performances in July.
