Registration open for Brian Holman baseball clinic on March 22

Former Seattle Mariners pitcher Brian Holman will team will up the Peninsula Metropolitan Parks District to offer a baseball clinic on March 22 at the PenMet Parks indoor soccer center.

The cost is $30 per player. There will be coaches training from 8 to 9 a.m., followed by youth ages 8-12 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and those 13-18 from 1:30 to 4 p.m.

Activities include:

 • Words of encouragement and motivational speaking from Holman

 • Proper hitting techniques

 • Proper pitching form

 • Running game

 • Fielding techniques

 • Stretching

 • Learning about an athlete’s diet

 • Mental aspects

 • Drug, alcohol and tobacco awareness
