PenMet Parks to celebrate indoor soccer center with festivities

The Peninsula Metropolitan Parks District will hold an opening celebration from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the indoor soccer center, 2002 36th St. NW, Gig Harbor.

The field will be open for all individuals who want to play. Music, cake and beverages will be available for the public. Prizes will be given away to a select number of people, as well as a drawing for a grand prize.

The spring session will begin March 17 and will last for eight weeks. To view leagues and classes that will be offered, visit www.penmetparks.org.

Along with the indoor soccer field, there is a large party/conference room available to rent for parties, meetings or gatherings. The room can accomodate approximately 40 people.

Activities include giveaways, the opportunity to sign your name on the large “soccer ball,” open soccer play on the field for individuals of all ages, ping-pong in the space behind the bleachers, cake and beverages for everyone to enjoy. and music during the activities.
