PHS senior receives scholarship to attend Eastern Washington

Peninsula High School senior Kirstine Rivera has been awarded a Presidential Scholarship of $3,000 for the 2013-14 academic year at Eastern Washington University in Cheney.

The scholarship is awarded to high school seniors with a 3.8 or better cumulative grade-point average, and a 1250-plus SAT or 28-plus ACT score.

Rivera hopes to major in athletic training. She is a daughter of Robert and Kristi Rivera of Gig Harbor.
