Water main break

December 18, 2013

Dec. 8 — Water was bubbling up from various locations in a 15-foot area from both the east and west sides of Wollochet Drive. The water was flowing directly onto the roadway with the threat of erosion to the road surface. Rainier View Water Company crews, along with Pierce County Public Works were dispatched to the scene. Sandbags were placed at the downhill of the effected residence owner’s driveway for water diversion, while water utility crews shut down the main water line. The cause of the water break was not immediately known.
