Gig Harbor High graduate earns scholarship

Tyler Freeman won the 2013-14 Charles P. Lund Music Scholarship at Eastern Washington University in Cheney.

Freeman is in his second year of graduate school at Eastern Washington. He graduated from Gig Harbor High School in 2008.

The award, which goes to students in the music program, is $2,000 for the academic year.

Freeman is a son of Paul and Jill Freeman. He taught vocal classes as well as humanities.
