Signs at post office don’t reflect our ‘treasured principles’

Gig HarborDecember 11, 2013

An open letter to the postmaster of the Gig Harbor Post Office:

I am not offended easily, but there are two signs at the post office that are offensive to me — “In Priority We Trust” and “Land of the Free Boxes.”

I “Trust in God,” not priority, and this is the “Land of the Free,” because of the brave, and it has nothing to do with mailboxes.

We have lost much of our freedom, but I am not quite ready to give it up to boxes.

I am disappointed that our Gig Harbor Post Office, a branch of our government, can be so arrogant and dismissive of the treasured principles on which our nation was founded.
