St. Nicholas opens fund for family devastated by fire

St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Gig Harbor has set up a fund for the family that was devastated by a house fire last week.

Thomas Babson and his 8-year-old daughter, Alice, died late Dec. 4 in a fire on Fox Island. June Babson and 12-year-old daughter, Katie, managed to get out of the house. A neighbor who saw flames helped 8-year-old Tobey out of the house.

The fund has a donation page on the church website, Donations also can also be made at the following sites:
