I am a new resident of Gig Harbor, and I recently registered to vote. The campaign between Sen. Nathan Schlicher and Rep. Jan Angel is concerning. Why are some focusing on attacking the other candidate with misleading statistics? We should look at who is more competent and qualified for the position rather than underhanded political tactics.
That’s why I’ve chosen to support Schlicher. I like that he actually has a job outside of Olympia. He also has endorsements from U.S. Rep. Derek Kilmer, various labor organizations and even the Washington State Medical Association, which has historically supported Rob McKenna.
We need bi-partisan thinkers like Schlicher.
In his first year, he saved our state ferry service, improved mental health care, invested in Naval Base Kitsap and more.
I have also viewed a couple of debates online. Angel did not answer the questions and kept diverting to talking points without any specific success. She even said in an article in The News Tribune that she did not read a bill she sponsored.
Why do we keep electing people who don’t do the work?
Let’s keep Schlicher in the state Senate.
