A showing of the documentary “Bidder 70” will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Gig Harbor/Peninsula branch of the Pierce County Library System.
“Bidder 70” documents the story of environmentalist Tim DeChristopher as he wages a legal battle with the Bureau of Land Management, disputing an oil and gas lease auction in Utah.
The film focuses on DeChristopher’s role as an environmental activist for climate change. A conversation will follow with a focus on climate justice, climate change activism and peaceful disobedience.
The free event is open to the public. It’s sponsored by the Peninsula Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of South Kitsap, Gig Harbor and the Key Peninsula.
