We only ask for mercy. We are retired and live on fixed incomes. We face constant increases in food and gas prices. We face the erosion of our health care along with the increase in the cost with the new burden of ObamaCare.
The money we have saved for our retirement is rapidly disappearing. No level of government seems to care that people are suffering from the unending demands of government.
We do not hate our schools or our children. But we ask that the Peninsula School District reassess its priorities. We already are paying for a school levy and a school bond. We do not want a new levy stacked on top of them.
There is always leeway in a school district budget. We ask that leaders take a look at the current budget. Let a new levy wait until this economy improves. The citizens of this school district need a tax break.
