Harbor Covenant Church will offer a weekly service at 7 p.m. Mondays. The service began Sept. 16.
The opportunity to gather will include time to discusses relevant issues and engage in topics through prayer, video, songs, art and communion.
Harbor Covenant seeks to provide an alternative gathering time for those who work on Sundays, and for those who want to make sense of the world around them, their place in it and how God is at work in their lives.
“Our hope is to create a new community of people such as medical professionals, firefighters, police officers and those that work in the restaurant and retail industry,” Associate Pastor Blake Merwin said. “Whether people have faith in God or not, we hope they find a Monday evening gathering in our cafe less intimidating that a typical Sunday morning church experience.”
Childcare is provided for ages 0-4.
Harbor Covenant has Sunday services at 8:30 and 10 a.m., and programs for children age 4 through fifth grade are available during those times along with nursery care. Classes are available for middle-school and high-school students, as well as adults.
