Paradise Theatre will open “The Year of Adventure” season of shows on Friday with a revamped version of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.”
The adaptation, directed by Jeff Richards, promises suspense, screams and blood.The play, faithful to the original theme, follows Professor Van Hesling and his associates as they track Dracula back to his castle in Translyvania and attempt to stake his vampire heart.
The performance is not recommended for young audiences. The show will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 3 p.m. on Sundays through Oct. 6. There will be a special performance dinner at the theatre at 6 p.m. Oct. 5.
Other adventure plays and musicals throughout the season include “The Wizard of Oz,” “Born Yesterday,” “Angry Housewives,” “Treasure Island,” “Shrek” and “The Drowsy Chaperone.”
