The fundamental difference between the two candidates running for the 26th Legislative District Senate seat is that Nathan Schlicher believes government can and should take our money because it can spend it more wisely that we can. Jan Angel believes the best decisions on spending are made by individuals.
When Schlicher was presented with a no-new-taxes budget that would have increased funding for education by $1 billion, he voted no and voted for a series of amendments that would have increased state spending by $325 million and required new taxes (Senate Bill 5034, Amendments 240, 241, 242 and 246).
Washington state and its citizens cannot afford Nathan Schlicher. Please vote for Jan Angel and her fiscal sanity.
