Although Key Peninsula Little League’s Junior all-star team went undefeated to win the District 2 championship earlier this month, it needs help to get to the state tourney in Spokane.
The Key Peninsula Juniors will represent the district Friday through July 26 at Medical Lake High School. Last weekend, team members worked to raise funds to cover travel and lodging costs.
They held a bake sale Saturday at Purdy Cost Less Pharmacy in Lake Kathryn Village. They staged a car wash Sunday at the nearby fruit stand.
Key Peninsula Little League keeps its registration fees low to enable families to participate. Its budget does not cover travel costs for postseason tournaments. To make it happen, KPLL seeks community contributions.
“Our goal is to acquire sufficient funds from sponsors to provide for our team and ensure that the Key Peninsula is well represented at the state tournament,” KPLL President Adam Scroggins, said.
Key Peninsula Little League is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax-deductible. A Federal Tax ID number is available on request.
Donations may be mailed to KPLL, P.O. Box 516, Vaughn, WA 98394. For information, email email@example.com.
