Nov. 7 — An unknown type of fire was reported under the new Narrows bridge by a caller in Tacoma. It was said to have been on a bank near the bridges. Firefighters drove under the new bridge and down wind from the alleged fire, but nothing was located and firefighters returned to service.
Nov. 8 — A 48-year-old man, who had been experiencing flu-like symptoms for the past two weeks, began to feel weaker and more short of breath. After paramedics performed an on-scene evaluation, they recommended the man be transported to an area hospital for further evaluation.
Nov. 9 — Paramedics responded to a report of chest pain and found a 52-year-old woman down and incoherent. The patient was being protected by her two poodles. After paramedics tried to figure out the main problem, they decided the woman should be seen for further evaluation at an area hospital.
Nov. 10 — A 71-year-old woman was unable to get herself back up after she slid from a wall to the floor in her home. The woman, who had been suffering from flu-like symptoms for several days, had become so weak that she had been falling regularly. Paramedics assisted her to a stretcher and transported her to an area hospital.
Nov. 11 — Firefighters received a complaint about a neighbor who was illegally burning roofing materials in an outdoor fire. When they arrived, crews found the remains of burned shingles and tar paper. The resident was provided with information regarding the need for a permit for all outdoor burning. He also was told it was illegal to haul in materials to burn. Only natural vegetation can be burned.
Nov. 12 — A 35-year-old man had been working on a ladder in a cutout of a house foundation when he fell and landed left-foot first in a hole. The man told paramedics he felt a snap in his ankle, then immediate pain. He was unable to get himself out of the foundation on his own. Paramedics splinted his ankle and lifted him from the foundation. He was transported to an area hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
Nov. 13 — Paramedics responded to a report of a woman who had fallen. Crews found a 44-year-old woman in the care of another adult. The woman fell while she was walking to a bus stop and struck her head on the concrete sidewalk. Paramedics treated a laceration on her forehead and transported the woman to a hospital for continued care.

Nov. 8 — A 50-year-old Wauna woman who had not been seen for several days was found disoriented in her apartment. The woman, who lived alone, has a history of mental illness. She was transported to a Tacoma hospital for evaluation.
Nov. 9 — A 30-year-old Longbranch man with a history of diabetic problems was found unresponsive by his girlfriend. Medics checked his blood sugar and administered medications, but the man quickly slipped back into an altered mental state. He was taken to a local hospital for further treatment.
Nov. 10 — Key Peninsula firefighters responded to a woman who was lying on the floor in her home. The reporting party found the residence locked. Firefighters found a window open and gained access without causing damage to the home. The patient was transported to a Gig Harbor care facility.
Nov. 10 — Firefighters responded to an auto accident at state Route 302 and Wright Bliss Road. Two patients were transported to a Tacoma hospital while seven others refused treatment.
Nov. 12 — A man in his 20s, who admitted to drinking, drove his pickup into the side of a house in the Palmer Lake neighborhood. The driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Nov. 13 — Firefighters and paramedics responded to a vehicle that had left the road in the Wauna curves, struck a tree and caused severe damage to the car. Firefighters extinguished the fire in the engine compartment and extricated the 54-year-old man from Des Moines. He was treated and transported to a Tacoma trauma center for multiple injuries.
Nov. 14 — A 62-year-old Longbranch man fell to the floor, prompting his wife to call 9-1-1. The man, who had just been released from a hospital the day prior, refused treatment or transport.
