The Vaughn High Alumni committee will meet Saturday, June 6, at the old school, now the Key Peninsula Civic Center.
The committee invites anyone who attended it as a high school student from 1903 to 1947. Everett Soldin, Class of 1926, is the oldest alum at 103 and lives at the Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Community.
The reunion — the first in the past three years — will start at 1 p.m. and feature a catered meal at 2 p.m.
Times have changed since the association used to start at 5 p.m. and dance until midnight. The cheerleaders will be trying to jump and lead the alumni in old Vaughn Eagles and Orange and Black yells.
Reunion committee members include Don Lind, Russell Stock, Don and Shirl Olson, Hazel Kingsbury, Jane Van Slyke, Marge Radonich and Joyce Niemann.
Those who didn’t receive an invitation and wish to attend may call 253-884-3702 or 253-884-9123. Tickets are $15 per person.
The museum will be open for those who wish to see school pictures and old Tattlers.
The current display at the museum is the history of baseball on the Key Peninsula.
