Volunteers will conduct Junior Ranger programs at Penrose Point and Kopachuck state parks this month.
The programs will last about an hour and are designed for children 5 to 10 years old.
Programs will vary depending on group size and may include games, a nature walk and activities that help promote stewardship of the parks. Parents are encouraged to participate.
The programs are set for:
Aug. 13 — 1 p.m. at Penrose Point and 4 p.m. at Kopachuck
Aug. 14 — 10 a.m. at Kopachuck
Aug. 20 — 1 p.m. at Penrose Point and 4 p.m. at Kopachuck
Aug. 21 — 10 a.m. at Kopachuck
Aug. 27 — 1 p.m. at Penrose Point and 4 p.m. at Kopachuck
Aug. 28 — 10 a.m. at Kopachuck
