Local churches to host parent-toddler group

Gig Harbor Methodist Church and Key Peninsula Lutheran Church are enrolling parent-toddler groups beginning Sept. 29.

The classes promote parents’ getting in touch with children using sensory, movement, music and activities designed to enhance brain connections. Discussions on research-based parenting topics are facilitated by a parent educator.

A class for toddlers will meet from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and infants from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on the same day at the Gig Harbor Methodist Church, 7400 Pioneer Way in Gig Harbor.

A class for parents of toddlers and infants will meet from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Thursdays at Key Peninsula Lutheran Church, 4213 Lackey Road, Key Peninsula Highway N. in Lakebay.

Wellspring to host Marriage Enrichment group

Wellspring Fellowship will host a Marriage Enrichment Small Group from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Nov. 4 at 9911 Burnham Drive NW in Gig Harbor. Married or pre-married couples are welcome.

The group will work through the book “Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts. Seven Questions to ask before you get married (and after)” by Drs. Les and Leslie Perrot.The group will be limited to 15 couples. Childcare is available.
