Betterbed completes basic training at West Point
Cadet Claire Patricia Betterbed, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bettersbed of Fox Island, completed Cadet Basic Training at the U.S. Military Academy.
Betterbed entered the academy in June at West Point, N.Y., and successfully completed six weeks of CBT, referred to as the “beast barracks.”
Betterbed graduated from Gig Harbor High School. She plans to graduate from West Point in 2013 and be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
