The First Saturday Art Walk in Gig Harbor is scheduled for 1 to 5 p.m. this weekend.
The Gig Harbor Gallery Association will be expanding its First Saturday Art Walk this month to seven galleries with the addition of a new gallery in the Finholm District.
Rebecca Westeren recently opened For Art Sake at 8805 N. Harborview Drive near Anthony’s Restaurant.
Visitors can pick up an Art Walk Passport at any participating gallery to be eligible to win a $50 gift certificate. Tom Cundiff of Edgewood won the September prize, which was donated by Ebb Tide Gallery.
During the Art Walk, artist demonstrations will be held at the following galleries:

Kit Kuhn — A Jeweler Designed For You, 3104 Harborview Drive, 253-851-5546 — Kuhn will be making a pendant with October’s birthstone using watermelon tourmaline slices wrapped in 14-karat yellow gold.
