Led by Key Peninsula proponents of “Bring ’em Home, NOW,” a candlelight vigil was held at Home Park last Wednesday to commemorate the fifth anniversary of America’s wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Vicki Biggs, an organizer of the event, said about 30 people gathered for an hour in the rain. Concerned with the high cost in lives and money, the participants spoke about the effects of a war dragging on. Several men attending were Vietnam veterans who said they see many similarities in the two conflicts. Also present were Seana Lutz and her 10-year-old daughter, who wanted a chance to take part in the public process.
