‘Gig Harbor Rocks’ 50s dance party debuts in historic downtown

Business owners on the historic Gig Harbor Waterfront pooled resources to host a 50s dance party Saturday, featuring the Fabulous Farelanes, a 50s rock and roll band from Vancouver, Wash.

Dozens of area residents showed up in 50s attire and took to the dance floor. Merchants hosted drawings and a dance contest.

Co-organizer Linda Gair told the crowd that she hopes this will become an annual summer event.
