A highlight of the Gig Harbor Garden Tour on Saturday will be a drawing for Adirondack chairs specially decorated by nine local artists, some of them professional.
The colorful chairs will be displayed in the various gardens as well as at Tacoma Community College, where maps and tickets for both the tour and drawing will be available.
Tickets also are available at the entrance to each tour garden. Chair tickets are $5 each, or five for $20. Volunteers at the gardens may not have change.
A drawing for each chair will take place the following week at the TCC office. Winners will be notified by phone and will be able to pick up the chairs at the college campus.
The chairs will be on display through June 25 at the following locations: No. 1, Harbor Gallery; No. 2, MultiCare building; No. 3, Tacoma Community College; No. 4 Season’s; No. 5, Peninsula Gardens; No. 6, Elandan Gardens; No. 7, Harbor Greens; No. 8, Point Fosdick Library; No. 9, Stroh’s.
