Harbor Place and Cottesmore of Care Life Center will team up to present its first health care and wellness festival on Saturday, dubbed a “Celebration of Generations.”
The event will include live entertainment, a barbecue and information on how community members can lead happy, active lives. The celebration will include a food drive and will accept donations to the walking team for the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk.
More than 45 vendors will be on hand, Harbor Place Sales Director Sue Wilhelm said.
“We have huge participation,” she said. “We’re looking at the full wellness spectrum beyond the standard health fair. We’re appealing to all ages, from kids all the way to grandparents.”
Vendors expected at the fair include health care providers, audiologists, the Cascade Bloodmobile, the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound and the Pierce County Library System.
Members of the Prison Pet Partnership Program also will be on hand, and members of the Harbor Conservatory of Dance will perform.
“It will be a fun community event geared toward the whole family,” Wilhelm said.
